Kolmenkulma, Tampere

Kolmenkulma area in Tampere is a part of Myllypuro business area. It is known for its large industrial facilities and logistics companies as well as its excellent regional accessibility. It is partly separate from residential districts, which enables it to be used for heavy industry too.

Companies located in the area include for instance Kaukokiito, Sandvik Mining and Construction, UPM Raflatac, Onninen, Nokia Capacitors, Pilkington Automotive Finland, Rudus Betonituote, Metso Minerals Finland and Bronto Skylift.

Phase I (City plan no 8183)

  • Plan notation KT-9 (Block planned for office and workplace buildings and the associated business and storage facilities) – Large retail units as referred to in Section 114 of the Land Use and Building Act or retail stores with a sales area exceeding 400 m2 may not be built in the area. The buildable sales area is up to one-third of the floor space of the operations. The operations conducted in the area must not contaminate or foul the water system.
  • Plot ratio e = 0.5
  • The city plan has come to force on 25.1.2016. Infrastucture will be built during the year 2017.

Phase II (City plan no 8189)

  • Plan notation KT-9 (Block planned for office and workplace buildings and the associated business and storage facilities) – Large retail units as referred to in Section 114 of the Land Use and Building Act or retail stores with a sales area exceeding 400 m2 may not be built in the area. The buildable sales area is up to one-third of the floor space of the operations. The operations conducted in the area must not contaminate or foul the water system.
  • Plan notation TY-21 (Block planned for industrial buildings, where the environment sets special criteria for the quality of operation)
  • Plot ratio e = 0.4 - 0.5
  • The target is to have the city plan effective during the first half of year 2018. The infrastructure will be built in phases during the forthcoming years.
